Mariquitas

Original painting on paper (framed 40 × 50 cm).

As many of the scenes of the series Natura, this one is inspired by my own experience. Lucky me, I live in a house with garden, and one of my favorite things to do when the warmth returns to (lovely-but-cold) Denmark, is to lie down on the grass and soak up all the vitamin D I so much need. Sometimes, a ladybug or an ant climbs over my body and through my hair, and I let them wander across me because it makes me feel connected to nature.
