Hermosa meant big

Some words stay with us longer than they should. This painting is called 'Hermosa meant big'. Hermosa. A word that means beautiful. A word that once meant something else to me.

She belongs to my most recent collection 'Tropical reflections', a series about contradictions: memory and desire, vulnerability and strength, the gaze of others and the way we choose to see ourselves.

This one is for the words we carry and eventually transform.
