'Descent to green is a deeply personal painting and maybe my favorite to the date. The idea came from a moment of deep psychological pain, and it carries comparison to others, as well as feelings of betrayal and jealousy, therefore the green (as for jealousy being named the green monster). Sometimes, these emotions can lead us into very dark places. Places that sometimes make us feel ashamed. But I believe those moments deserve to be honored as well, as a way to remind ourselves that we are learning how to deal with all that, and more important, to remind yourself of your own resilience'.
