Plena

'Plena' means 'full' in Spanish. I made this drawing shortly after getting pregnant, when my belly began to show. I remember wishing that everyone could feel what I felt those days. I was strong, serene and beautiful, amazed by my own power creating a new life and knowing that everything was happening as it should. 

It was during those days that I also started feeling the urge to draw again after a long time feeling disconnected of my creativity. This simple drawing represents so much to me. I love how it makes me feel and I hope that you can see something special in it too.
